Letters of authorization (LOAs) and standing letters of authorization (SLOAs) are written instructions from the authorized account holder or agent that allow Schwab to perform specified transactions. For ongoing money movements, an SLOA can make processing requests quicker and doesn't require an individual signature for each transaction. To ensure the security of your assets, only certain kinds of transactions can be covered by an SLOA. Consult our FAQ, or talk to your advisor to learn more.
