As market director of fixed income overseeing the Southwest region, Serif educates Financial Consultants, clients, and prospective clients about fixed income investing and the resources available at Schwab.

Previously, Serif was a regional fixed income specialist in Denver, Colorado. Serif started his career with Schwab in 1999 and, prior to returning in 2010, worked as a fixed income analyst for a regional registered investment advisor, where he specialized in actively trading high-yield securities and conducted client seminars on portfolio updates, current economic developments, and investment opportunities.

Serif earned his bachelor of science degree in finance, with a minor in economics, and his master of business administration degree from the University of Colorado.
