Allscripts Retirement Savings Plan Highlights
Most of your retirement income may come from savings accumulated during your working years. The Retirement Plan may help you stay on track toward your retirement savings goals.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENROLLMENT
You are eligible to enroll in the Retirement Plan if you are at least 18 years of age. You may begin participating in the Retirement Plan on the first day of the month following your date of hire.
YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
You can make pre-tax and/or Roth 401(k) contributions up to 70% of your eligible compensation.
• The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) limits the amount you can contribute to the Retirement Plan every year. The limit is set annually (pre-tax and Roth 401(k) contributions combined).
• If you will be age 50 or older by the end of the calendar year, you may make an additional catch-up contribution to the Retirement Plan.
• If you decide to make Roth 401(k) contributions, they will be deducted from your paycheck after taxes. Any potential earnings on your contributions may grow tax-free, and you will not pay taxes on the money when it’s withdrawn— provided that any distribution from the Retirement Plan account occurs at least five years following the year you make your first Roth 401(k) contribution, and you have reached age 591⁄2 or have become disabled. If you die, your beneficiary will not owe taxes on the Retirement Plan account balance either.
• You can change your contribution rate at any time by calling Participant Services at 1-800-724-7526 or by visiting workplace.schwab.com. Changes will be made as soon as administratively feasible.
• To make things even easier, the Retirement Plan offers automatic savings adjustments to help you set aside extra money—automatically. Go to workplace.schwab.com to enroll in automatic savings adjustments. It’s one way to put extra money to work for your retirement.
• For information about your options if you have assets in a qualified retirement plan with a previous employer, call Participant Services at 1-800-724-7526 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, or go to workplace.schwab.com. After reviewing your options, if you decide to roll over an existing account into the Retirement Plan, you can download the rollover form or request this paperwork from Participant Services.
EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS
Matching
Allscripts will match dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of eligible compensation that you contribute to your Retirement Plan account.
Employer contributions are paid on a pre-tax basis and may be taxable at withdrawal.
VESTING
Vesting is your ownership of your Retirement Plan account. You are always 100% vested in your own contributions and any associated earnings, including any rollover contributions you make to your Retirement Plan account. You are also 100% vested in any Allscripts’ contributions and any associated earnings.
