At 16, we might hit anything from a wedge all the way up to a 7-iron. Since the new pool house was built, judging the wind has become tougher. But Jeff [Lutz], who runs Colonial’s big game, pushed the club to put a flagpole up that now helps with wind direction.

The undulating green on this par 3 is the toughest on the course. Make sure you consider the wind and the change in elevation when choosing the correct club as it can be tough to judge. A weak shot to a front right pin may find the pond. To the right is out-of-bounds.
