    Michael Block: We all have nerves when we play golf. Now, one of the most important things for me is to have a great pre-shot routine that has a lot of positive thoughts. Okay? So when I set up, my caddy tells me two things: commit and tempo. Now the commit part of it is: I'm committing to a shot and a target. So I set up to it, my shoulder blade's back, very confident. I don't come in here like this with no confidence. I'm thinking, "I'm going to hit a great shot, and watch this." Not, "Boy, I hope nobody's watching." So I set up to it. I come up to it. I've committed to this shot. I put the club face to the target, and then I put my feet parallel to the club face. This guarantees that no matter what the situation is, I am directly at my target, which is a huge key. Because I don't want to make a great shot and miss my target.

    Michael Block: So I set up. Like I said, my last thought that John told me was tempo. So now my last thought is tempo and my swing. Take my time to the top. So remember, when the nerves get on—you're playing your club championship or just a charity event—it doesn't matter. Have a great tempo with positive thoughts.
